Agent safety protocol
Version 2026-10-18
Before the appointment
- Confirm the property, appointment, attendee names, and contact details with the requesting agent. Ask how they verified attendees; do not assume the app screened buyers.
- Share the address, schedule, and expected finish time with a trusted contact. Agree on a check-in plan and what they should do if you do not respond.
- Keep your phone charged and accessible. Confirm authorized property access and any known hazards.
At the property
- Assess the surroundings and exits before entering. Park where you can leave safely; avoid isolated or confining spaces and do not let anyone block your exit.
- Keep your trusted contact updated. Check in and out of the job, but remember these records are not emergency monitoring.
- Trust your judgment. Do not enter or continue if you feel unsafe; move to a safe place and contact the requesting agent.
If something goes wrong
- For immediate danger, leave if you can do so safely and call 911 in the United States or the local emergency number. Do not wait for an app response.
- Once safe, notify your trusted contact and requesting agent. Report appointment concerns in the job and follow your brokerage’s incident procedures.
- After the appointment, secure the property as authorized, check out, and confirm your safe departure with your trusted contact.
This checklist supplements your brokerage’s safety policies and professional training. It does not guarantee safety. The app does not vet buyers, dispatch emergency services, or monitor missed check-ins.
